| ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT |
Roman is not a Mormon. Roman
grew up on Long Island and
moved to New York City in 1992
with the itch to begin a
professional career in acting. He
studied drama under Victor
Abravaya and Bob Eienkel and
was accepted into the intense
two year program at Lee
Strasburg Theatre
Conservatory. Roman began his
career right out of school with
an Actor’s Equity
grew up on Long Island and
moved to New York City in 1992

Conservatory. Roman began his
career right out of school with
an Actor’s Equity
contract through Theatreworks USA and traveled the country in
national tours. His acting credits also expand TV and film. He
decided to leave acting and pursue a career in Forensic
Psychology which became curtailed by his interest in writing. In
2002 Roman returned to the theatre, but as a playwright. His first
play The Closet Contender, based on artist Peter Cain, found its
way to the stage in 2005 through a small production company he
founded called Row Man Productions NYC. His last work
Craigslist Live and Unauthorized The Musical! played last Fall too
sold out audiences in NYC with a revised opening planned for
Spring 2008. He is currently finishing his first book entitled Latter
Gay Saints – the Mormon Church and God’s Second Class Saints
based on his experience with writing Missa. Roman currently
resides in the East Village with his dog Chewy.
